How to use this at home
Your child practises 8 Irish words about hobbies, seeing each picture and its Irish word together. Flashcards are the quickest way to build the core vocabulary that school Irish lessons keep coming back to.
- Play memory: print two copies, cut them out, turn them face down and take turns finding pairs. Say the Irish word every time a card is turned over.
- Stick one card on the fridge each morning and use the word during the day. Swap it the next day, and every few days do a quick quiz of the week's cards.
- Play charades: act out a hobby and let your child guess the Irish word.
