How to use this at home
Your child practises 8 Irish words about feelings, seeing each picture and its Irish word together. Flashcards are the quickest way to build the core vocabulary that school Irish lessons keep coming back to.
- Hide the cards around a room. Each time your child finds one, they say the Irish word before they can collect it.
- Play memory: print two copies, cut them out, turn them face down and take turns finding pairs. Say the Irish word every time a card is turned over.
- When reading a story, stop and ask how a character feels, in Irish.
