How to use this at home
Your child practises 8 Irish words about food, seeing each picture and its Irish word together. Flashcards are the quickest way to build the core vocabulary that school Irish lessons keep coming back to.
- Hide the cards around a room. Each time your child finds one, they say the Irish word before they can collect it.
- Stick one card on the fridge each morning and use the word during the day. Swap it the next day, and every few days do a quick quiz of the week's cards.
- Play "shop": line up a few foods on the table, your child asks for each one using the Irish word, and you hand it over.
