How to use this at home
Your child practises 8 Irish words about numbers 1–20, seeing each picture and its Irish word together. Flashcards are the quickest way to build the core vocabulary that school Irish lessons keep coming back to.
- Play memory: print two copies, cut them out, turn them face down and take turns finding pairs. Say the Irish word every time a card is turned over.
- Hide the cards around a room. Each time your child finds one, they say the Irish word before they can collect it.
- Count stairs, steps or spoons together in Irish. For example, a ceathair means "four".
