How to use this at home
Your child practises 8 Irish words about at home, seeing each picture and its Irish word together. Flashcards are the quickest way to build the core vocabulary that school Irish lessons keep coming back to.
- Play memory: print two copies, cut them out, turn them face down and take turns finding pairs. Say the Irish word every time a card is turned over.
- Print on card or heavier paper if you can. If your printer prints double-sided, print page 2 on the back (flip on the long edge) so each card has its English meaning behind it.
- Walk around the house together and point to each thing as you say its word. For example, clog means "clock".
